WELCOME TO our first season in Parry sound!
We are so excited to announce that we will be doing rowing programs in Parry Sound this spring/summer/fall! Have a read through our programs below. In the first few years, our focus will be on our High School and Learn to Row programs for all ages to bring this amazing sport to the area, but check in often, as we will add programs as our rowing family grows in Parry Sound!
High School Rowing
This will be our first year offering a spring rowing program to high school rowers in Parry Sound.
Although some of us are training year round with the use of indoor rowing machines and strength and conditioning workouts, it is never to late too start! We will be visiting the Peterborough Indoor Rowing tank at Trent University to get a jump on the season in April, and will be going on the water in later April/early May to train until the end of the school year.

Learn to row

You've always wanted to - now's your chance to learn to row! Anyone can learn to row, and we have both the equipment and coaching to suit all types of bodies and learning styles.
There are lots of reasons our rowers love our personal coaching sessions. Technical improvements, concentrated coaching, learning to scull or transitioning to a racing shell! Our personal coaching is done one-on-one from a coach boat by your side.
For those focused on improving speed on the water through fitness and technique work. Choose between our summer long competitive team, or join class by class.
Our Fitness Rowing classes are for rowers of all abilities. You'll improve your fitness and technique and get to spend lots of amazing time on the water in our open water stable rowing shells. Abilities range from just completing the Learn to Row program to those who have been rowing for years.
Our junior scullers classes are typically for ages 9-16. A program that focuses on technique, fitness, water awareness and fun. This is no ordinary rowing program, although we push our rowers to improve their technique and speed, we also have lots of fun playing games and swimming from our boats so we are comfortable in every sort of maneuver. Many have used this to get a jump start on high school rowing, or just to improve on technique and fitness and enjoy the sport on our beautiful waterways.
