Rosseau Time Trials

MUSKOKA SPRING Time Trial, 1km and 3.3km

Date: Sunday, May 13th, 2018
Location: Rosseau Lake College, Lake Rosseau, ON

This is a great event for high school rowers to get a jump on the spring season, and to row on beautiful Lake Rosseau. Rowers participate in both a 1000m and 3300m time trial, with a staggered start. After both trials are complete, Rosseau Lake College School hosts a lunch for all rowers and coaches.

Entry cost = $25/rower including lunch

30km Tour across lake rosseau

Date: Saturday, May 26th, 2018
Location: Start Hatchets Rowing Centre in Port Carling, Finish Rosseau Lake College in Rosseau

We start in Port Carling at Hatchets Rowing Centre. Row up through the locks, out through the river to Lake Rosseau, west and then south to Port Sandfield for a break and a quick treat and washroom break, then north all the way across Lake Rosseau to Rosseau Lake College.

Boats and equipment are provided, bring a bit of cash for a treat and food for the day. We'll be accompanied by a safety boat and will be rowing in touring shells for the day. Boats will be decided based on attendance.

22km race, singles only, poker run style

Date: Saturday, August 18th, 2018
Location: Indian River and Lake Muskoka, Port Carling, ON

An event you don't want to miss. Starting at Hanna Park in Port Carling, this 22km race takes you down the Indian River and to five docks at the top end of Lake Muskoka and back to retrieve a full poker hand.

Indian River Relay

Head to head 600m team sprint

Date: Tuesday, August 14th, 2018
Location: Hatchets Rowing Centre, Port Carling, ON
This is our annual local regatta to bring rowers of all abilities together in a sprint relay race. Teams of 4 of mixed abilities are created on the day of the race from the registered rowers. Racing takes place in two touring singles, which team mates taking turns rowing 600m. Fastest team time for the day wins a big high five and the painting of their hand prints on the dock.

The race starts at 9am, with boats on the dock at 8am for those who want to test them out.
